Installing Earting systems

Today R.A.M. Electrical Contracting Limited have been installing earthing systems at a retirement village in Milton Keynes.

 

The satellite dishes for the various bungalows and 2 residential blocks had to be earthed back to the main Earth terminals nearby following on from new regulations recently released. (The dishes need earthing due to Earth leakage, and preventing potential electric shocks)

 

This involved fixing the Earth cable to the metal work of the satellite dishes, then discretely taking the cable through the clients property to their respective consumer Units. The cables were then terminated at the Earth terminal at the Consumer Units.

 

Part of the works also included high level rope works, due to one of the dishes was high level on a roof of one of the properties. As R.A.M. Electrical follow the Health and Safety guidelines with regards to working at heights.
